General Education Center

History

The school had formally transformed into a college in August 2005. Non-commissioned officers with (vocational) high school education were recruited from 2005 to 2007. Since the 2008 academic year, in addition to non-commissioned officers with (vocational) high school education, the school also recruited students from other (vocational) high school education backgrounds.  
The Center is responsible for general education to enhance general knowledge. The curses offered aim to balance professional and general education of students, and cultivate outstanding non-commissioned officers for the military.
The development this Center is mainly focused on the educational goal of the school, and the overall target is to provide students with complete general education. We aim to improve students' language, information, counselling, mathematical and scientific abilities as necessary for the military, and establish their humanistic qualities, martial virtues, and global view to cultivate outstanding non-commissioned officers for the military.  

Educational goals

Cultivate quality officers with military leadership and humanistic attitudes. We expect students to establish a connection between the individual and the "ego", "others", "society", and "military".

Educational concept

Consider both the depth and broadness of general education by upholding the spirit of holistic education to further cultivate professional non-commissioned officers to strive to be good and both civil and military affairs, and possess moral skills.

Features of courses

To cultivate modern, quality non-commissioned officers who possess both military leadership skills and humanistic qualities from a holistic approach to education, the school continuously improves the structure of general education teachers, integrates educational and administrative resources of the school, strengthens official and non-official course planning, provide complete learning resources and a sound educational environment, establishes a proper educational feedback mechanism, and promotes the general education of the school. Meanwhile, teachers and students develop a sense of identification by recognizing ideas, goals, and features of general education through all kinds of advocacies.       
The features of general education of the school in the current phase include an educational environment focused on the military, courses design, and learning resources. Each part reflects official and non-official and course planning, and provide students with structure for their future career, living, and learning needs.
