Department Overview:
This department integrates knowledge in electronics and communications engineering to develop skills applicable to both military and civilian needs in information and communication technologies. It aims to train professional non-commissioned officers for the military's information and network stations.
Department History:
The Department of Computer and Communication Engineering originated from the restructured Army NCO School, which transitioned to a comprehensive high school. In 2002 (Republic of China Year 91), the Department of Information Engineering was established to meet the military's need for foundational NCOs proficient in computer information and communication networks. In 2005, when the school was restructured into a junior college, it was officially renamed the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering.
Educational Objectives:
The department has established four educational goals:

- Foster students' professional ethics and humanistic qualities.
- Develop students' problem-solving and lifelong learning abilities.
- Support students in obtaining professional certifications.
These goals ensure students gain fundamental knowledge in computers and communications, hands-on experience with various practical operations, and proficiency in operating and maintaining related equipment. By obtaining professional certifications, students are well-prepared for careers both during and after military service.
Teaching Philosophy:
The department is committed to developing professionals in electronics, information, and communications engineering. It emphasizes a balanced approach across teaching, project-based learning, and skill certification. Students receive comprehensive theoretical training and develop practical skills in areas such as computer repair, system analysis, programming, web design, and communication site setup and maintenance.
In addition to theoretical and practical training, students acquire repair and maintenance capabilities in computers and communications and earn relevant professional certifications. Coupled with programs in national defense sports education, life ethics education, military spirit education, and student club activities, the department fosters well-rounded development in morals, intellect, physical fitness, social skills, and aesthetics. Graduates are equipped to become capable and virtuous leaders in the military.
